So You Think You Can Dance Week #1 Results

Cut from the top 20 tonight was Tony and Paris. I agree with the judges on both of these decisions and this is why I like the format of this show. The fact that the judges make the final decision is a key part of this format. This season there are so many very good dancers and picking who will leave should be done by “experts” (judges). They know what to look for as each contestant “dances for their life” and have always been there from the early auditions. I do believe they take everything in to consideration when they make their decisions.

Tony did not “bring it” tonight and last night so he will be leaving. I think Paris also did not “bring it" tonight. Her routine was a “ho hum” for me tonight also.

When someone leaves Kat also says a clique that “it’s only the beginning”, which sounds lame, but it is really the truth. Just think about it, the contestants make to this moment in time after being chosen from thousands of other rivals. I think that in it self is awesome.

So now we are down to a top 18 and this year is looking really competitive. This makes for plenty of excitement.
